Role Description
The person on this role will join a team of professionals and work as Software quality assurance engineer of key clients within the company. They will work in an Agile environment in collaboration with our Dev teams and ensure the quality of the final product by preparing and executing test plans, identifying and analyzing information regarding testing requirements, and support knowledge management.
Primary responsibilities
Executes test plans, creates, and automates scenarios and test cases
Creates, builds, and maintains test infrastructure
Develops automated tests
Manually performs tests that can’t be automated
Gets familiar with feature requirements and provides feedback on them
Uses various testing techniques to verify features and fixes are correctly implemented
Interacts with the Product team to gain understanding of the business environment, technical context, and conformance criteria
Participates actively as a member of an international Agile development team working with product owner, Business Analyst, and wider development teams to sustain the overall quality of the product
Supports knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions, communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned
Skills required
3+ years of hand-on experience in Testing & Software Quality Assurance, at least 2 of which in automation testing
Solid knowledge and experience in QA processes and Software development lifecycle
Very good understanding and hands-on experience of OOP principles, software architecture and technologies, etc.
Experience with Test automation frameworks (Java, .NET, Selenium, TestNG)
Experience with API/ RESTful webservices testing,
Good understanding of Web Technologies is a must – HTML, CSS, JS, HTTP
Good knowledge in SQL and experience with DB platforms
Experience with different bug tracking systems (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, TestRail, Test Link, TestMagic, or similar)
Autonomous with using version control tools (Git/GitHub and SVN, Confluence).
Proven experience with build management and automated software testing: CI/CD
ISTQB FL Certification
Experience working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) project management methodology
Fluent English – written and spoken; second foreign language is an advantage
