Linux Systems Engineer

We’re searching for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer to support the development, operation, and enhancement of the core infrastructure powering our global content delivery network. In this position, you’ll help keep our platform running at peak speed and reliability across more than 15 international data centers and a fleet of over 2,000 Linux-based servers.

You’ll join a team of experienced Linux engineers and system architects who handle intricate technical challenges, streamline automation, and introduce improvements to our large-scale environment. Location: Remote / Serbia

Responsibilities

• Oversee the health and performance of both virtual and physical Linux servers, ensuring consistent availability
• Roll out new systems and strengthen deployment and automation workflows
• Manage designated sections of the CDN and ensure they operate at the highest performance standards
• Maintain and refine internal documentation, update operational procedures, and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Strong background in Linux system administration at an advanced level
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals and routing technologies (BGP, TCP/IP, UDP, tunneling, and related protocols)
• Thorough understanding of HTTP internals and hands-on experience diagnosing traffic and connectivity issues
• Skilled with technologies such as Varnish, Nginx, bird, firewall configuration, and scripting tools
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to take initiative and work autonomously
• Strong command of English, both verbally and in writing
