Manual QA Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Carry out manual testing across functional, regression, and integration layers to ensure system stability.
- Examine business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to understand expected behavior.
- Develop and execute well-structured test cases and scenarios.
- Apply SQL queries when needed to verify data integrity and business rules.
- Capture, report, and follow up on defects through to resolution.
- Partner with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to resolve ambiguities and improve product quality.
- Help ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned with quality expectations.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support user acceptance testing and assist with production validation activities when required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2–3+ years of experience in Manual QA or software testing roles.
- Strong foundation in testing concepts, methodologies, and QA practices.
- Ability to design clear, structured test documentation and execute it effectively.
- Working knowledge of SQL for validating data.
- Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to finance or economics-related domains.
- Experience with data-heavy or business-critical platforms.
- Background in regulated or complex domain environments.
- Understanding of system workflows and backend validation.
- Willingness to build domain knowledge through continuous learning.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
