Principal Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help shape and build a next-generation, production-grade big data platform combining advanced AI and computer vision capabilities.

In this role, you will contribute to the architecture and development of a scalable and reliable backend platform designed to process and manage massive volumes of data. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and autonomous driving technologies.

You will collaborate closely with product, data, and AI teams to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions and help establish the engineering practices needed to deliver a high-quality, scalable platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the architecture and design of the next-generation data and AI platform.
• Integrate advanced algorithms used in ADAS systems, including object detection, tracking, classification, and Visual Language Model (VLM)-based scene understanding.
• Design and develop systems capable of processing and managing massive amounts of data efficiently.
• Guide the implementation of data platforms, data pipelines, AI services, and platform APIs.
• Drive high standards for code quality, maintainability, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to predictable and efficient software delivery across the development lifecycle.
• Continuously improve development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate closely with product, data science, AI, and engineering stakeholders.
• Translate complex product and business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in software architecture and system design.
• Strong track record of developing software products that process large volumes of data on the backend.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Practical experience working with big data, artificial intelligence, and/or computer vision systems.
• Ability to translate product and business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple technical and product disciplines.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI-enabled or computer vision products into production environments.
• Familiarity with microservice-based distributed systems.
• Experience working with modern cloud platforms.
• Understanding of autonomous driving, ADAS, or related automotive technologies.
• Exposure to Visual Language Models (VLMs) or other multimodal AI technologies.
