We create software that enables insurance brokers to operate more efficiently and with less manual effort. Our automation platform integrates multiple systems, organizes data, and removes repetitive tasks so brokers can dedicate more time to their clients.

We are now taking this mission further with a new project aimed at converting complex business documents into structured, usable data on a large scale. We are seeking a developer eager to lead this initiative.

The Opportunity

This position sits at the crossroads of data engineering, intelligent automation, and practical problem solving. You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining systems that extract, interpret, and standardize information from a wide variety of document types.

It’s a hands-on, high-impact role suited for someone who enjoys untangling challenging technical problems, values precision, and can develop systems that remain reliable as they scale.

You will assess different tools, craft extraction logic, and guide the project’s growth from prototype stage to full production.

What You’ll Work On

• Develop a robust pipeline to convert documents into structured data, capable of handling diverse formats and large volumes.
• Research and implement OCR and NLP solutions (e.g., AWS Textract, Google Document AI, or custom-built models).
• Build data validation and transformation processes that ensure extracted information is accurate and actionable.
• Collaborate closely with backend and product teams to integrate extracted data into our automation ecosystem.
• Establish performance and accuracy standards, continuously refining the extraction process to improve results.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in software development, ideally in backend or data-intensive roles.
• Hands-on experience with OCR/NLP technologies or structured data extraction from unstructured sources.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, transformation, and validation at scale.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and scalable storage solutions (S3, RDS, etc.).
• Analytical thinking — you can debug both logic and code with ease.
• Curiosity, initiative, and the ability to transform vague problems into well-architected solutions.
