Remote Field Engineer – Contractor Position

As a Remote Field Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of our AI-driven ordering system. You’ll provide remote guidance to on-site technicians, troubleshoot technical challenges, and facilitate smooth system installations at restaurant locations.

This is a fully remote contractor role that requires expertise in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. Your contributions will be key to maintaining seamless operations and delivering exceptional support to both our customers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Remote Installation Assistance: Direct and support on-site technicians throughout the AI system setup, ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
  • Customer & Partner Support: Communicate technical solutions in a clear and friendly manner to non-technical users.
  • Incident Handling: Log, track, and escalate issues as needed using a ticketing system.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams to refine installation workflows and enhance system performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of technical support experience in a SaaS environment, ideally in a B2B2C setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in hardware, software, and network integrations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues simply.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle urgent matters efficiently.
  • Availability to work during EST business hours to accommodate multiple time zones.
  • Experience with ticketing tools such as Zendesk, ServiceNow, Intercom, or Freshdesk.
  • Full-time contractor availability with room for career advancement.
  • Knowledge of restaurant tech and POS systems is a plus.
